Richard D. Vetstein, Esq. is a seasoned business and real estate attorney who has developed a broad real estate litigation and transactional practice. Experienced Real Estate and Business Counsel
Mr. Vetstein has represented clients in hundreds of lawsuits and disputes involving business, real estate, construction, condominium, zoning, environmental, banking and financial services, employment, and personal injury law.
In real estate matters, Mr. Vetstein and his team at TitleHub Closing Services have handled thousands of residential real estate closings. Mr. Vetstein is an agent of Old Republic Title Insurance Company. In land use, zoning, and licensing matters, Mr. Vetstein offers his clients an inside perspective as a former board member of the Sudbury Zoning Board of Appeals. Mr. Vetstein has an active real estate litigation practice, and was a former outside claims counsel for a national title company.
Drawing on his own business degree and experience, Mr. Vetstein assists his business clients with new business start ups, acquisitions, sales, contract, employment issues, trademarks, and succession planning. Mr. Vetstein also litigates, arbitrates and mediates a wide variety of commercial disputes.
Education
Richard Vetstein received his law degree with honors from Suffolk University Law School, and graduated in the top 10% of his class. At Suffolk, Mr. Vetstein was selected as a Note Editor on the Law Review. Mr. Vetstein was also the sole student selected for a prestigious judicial internship with Federal District Court Judge William G. Young.
Richard Vetstein received a B.S. degree from Miami (Ohio) University in Oxford, OH in Mass Communication/Media Management with a minor in Marketing. At Miami University, Rich was an Account Executive in a nationally acclaimed student advertising program for Molson Breweries in Toronto, Canada. Rich enjoys applying his eduction and experience in business to the practice of law. At Miami, Rich held a number of positions in Sigma Alpha Mu. Fraternity.
A high school captain and Bay State League All-Conference All-Star in both soccer and volleyball, Rich tried out and made the Miami Men’s Volleyball team, traveling to Big 10, ACC, and SEC schools for matches. After multiple knee surgeries, he is now relegated to playing pick-up basketball at his local health club.
Community
Rich enjoys being involved in his community, local philanthropies and bar associations. For eight years, Rich was an associate member of the Sudbury Zoning Board of Appeals and the chair of the Earth Removal Board. Rich recently completed a Leadership Fellowship with the Leadership Metrowest Academy. He is an Advisory Board Member for the Corridor 9 Chamber of Commerce’s HYPE 9 (Helping Young Professionals Engage Corridor 9) Board and a member of the Metrowest Chamber of Commerce. Rich is a member of Business Networking International (BNI) Metrowest Business Lunch Chapter. Rich sits on the Litigation Committee of the Real Estate Bar Association (REBA), and is a member of the Massachusetts, Metrowest, and American Bar Associations. Rich is also the past chair and current board member of Combined Jewish Philanthropies’ Young Lawyers Group and a member of CJP’s Young Leadership Division.

Mr. Vetstein is a trailblazer for the successful use Web 2.0 technology and social media for his firm’s marketing efforts. He is the creator of this Blog — the Massachusetts Real Estate Law Blog — the top ranked legal blog in Massachusetts real estate law.
